Fifth Anniversary!
 March 2014 - March 2019

The Croft Poetry Club was founded in March 2014 at the invitation of Carol Wells the owner of the Croft Tea Room in St Mary Cray High Street.

We are still going strong and we celebrated our fifth anniversary in March 2019.  Our enthusiastic membership has enabled us to grow and maintain a continuous all-year-round programme of twice-monthly meetings and many extra activities and events.

We have met or staged recitals at several local venues, including: Biggin Hill, Bromley, Chislehurst, Green Street Green, Mottingham, Orpington, Petts Wood, Sevenoaks, St Mary Cray and St Paul's Cray,

We were invited to recite poetry of World War One at  All Saints Church, Orpington in 2014 and 2016.

Individual members have published collections of their own poetry and the club has published an annual anthology of original artwork and poetry by members and friends.

Thank you to everyone that has joined us at our meetings and activities. We hope that we will continue to enjoy poetry and friendship together for many more years to come.

Special thanks to Louis the current owner of the Tea Room and to all his staff who kindly host our meetings every first Thursday morning of the month.
