Twenty-Five for '25: Short Stories by Customers and Friends of the Croft Tea Room.

As a community publisher nothing gives us greater pleasure and fulfilment than to showcase the talent of local writers, poets, artists and photographers. This time it is the turn of the writers: specifically writers of the short story genre. We want to say a big thank you to all the contributors to our new little book Twenty-Five for '25 especially as we know that some of the contributors had never tried writing a short story until now. When you see this super little book you'll surely agree that every author - experienced or inexperienced - has splendidly met the challenge. Their sheer enjoyment radiates from each page! There is an admirable range of original topics; there are wise and wacky characters; there are plots that will amuse you and move you - and plots that may surprise you with the twists and turns!

The Life in Orpington local magazine

Some of the contributors to our Twenty-Five for '25 book already have had a short story published in the Life in Orpington local magazine. They and other Cray 150 authors also have had  poems published in the magazine. We congratulate them and we are glad that their work is accordingly reaching a readership that straddles the whole town.

In our Twenty-Five for '25 book we reprint some of the stories that have earlier appeared in the Life in Orpington local magazine so that our readers can enjoy them - again; or for the first time if they missed seeing the story first time round.
